Peter: One of the methods is to hold a meeting of the executive team in my office every morning from Monday through Thursday at 8:58 a.m. Each person has exactly one minute to describe what he or she intends to do on that day. A manager only needs to mention a number and everyone knows how far along a project has come, e.g. watch production or the quantity of published articles. The third round considers obstacles of all sorts: marginal problems can be discussed and solved immediately; larger difficulties are addressed during the course of the same day, so the next morning's meeting begins with a new situation.
