Talk About Their Manufacture How Long Did You Work On This Movement?

Book live your passion

Peter: We began developing the manufacture caliber in 2001. From then on, a crew of eight collaborated with specialists from the school of watchmaking in geneva, the school of engineering in geneva and the school of watchmaking in Holland that I mentioned before. Aletta: Their job wasn't simple. The objective was to bring the balance and its tiny hairspring as far forward as possible and to position them at a predefined location beneath a circular opening in the dial, where they tirelessly complete 28,800 semioscillations per hour. Peter: This demanded a wholly new movement construction from A to z. Conventional calibers from ETA couldn't be suitably modified. Aletta: The team created an exclusive microcosm with a mainspring that stores enough power to keep the balance vibrating for 49 hours, after which time the watch needs manual winding to replenish its reserve of energy. Peter: Particularly important in this context is that we remained faithful to our motto of accessible luxury and created a genuine manufacture movement that's nonetheless affordably priced.
